We got a Spaniel that had been seriously underfed by prior owners and weighed 4.5 kilos at 10 months old, with a really upset tummy. Our vet had recommended Hills but when we did a thorough internet research on ingredients and talked to our local pet shop (Grumpies in Cambridge who actually care about pets and don't try to make you buy the most expensive stuff but rather the best things), we chose to try Barking heads instead because ingredients seemed the best on the market (no rubbish fillers or chicken "meals" etc) and it's actually cheaper. Our Spaniel is now 12 months old and has put on 3.5 kilos, her fur is a lot, lot thicker and she is just really healthy and her stomach is settled (ie easy to scoop!). In short, we love the brand and have now switched to adult food, we found best is to gradually alternate packs for max variety (she loves changes!), no stomach problems doing that. We just hope the Brand never "sells out" and start adding cheap and nasty fillers as a lot of others have.
