Puppy Days (Chicken & Salmon Puppy)

Puppies are cute, playful and energetic. They need much more from their food than adult dogs because they grow 20 times faster and a puppy full of vitality with a wagging tail is one of life’s little pleasures!

Puppy Days is a complete balanced food for young dogs and includes 55% chicken and salmon as well as other delicious nutritionally-positive ingredients like seaweed and tomato. It also controls the rate of growth in puppies to reduce the likelihood of skeletal problems as they get older.

Salmon is a hypoallergenic protein and is packed full of lovely amino acids that promote good health and energy while the chicken’s natural Omega-3 fatty acids (not the bad fats you get in junk food) reduce inflammatory responses like arthritis and are used to ‘oil’ your puppy’s joints! If that wasn’t enough to whet your (puppy’s) appetite, the combination in Puppy Days is gentle on their sensitive tummies and easy to digest.

  • Prebiotic FOS and MOS – improves digestive tract health and boosts the immune system
  • DHA – supports brain and eye development as well as learning ability
  • Added Calcium – for strong teeth and bones
  • Delicious – say no more! Your dog will show you what we mean!

What’s in the bag? UK-sourced ingredients that are all-natural, unadulterated and wonderfully nutritious!
What’s not in the bag? Nasty artificial things like flavourings, colourings, preservatives and GM ingredients.

We suggest storing the food where your dog can’t find it (it is simply too delicious to be left on the side) and PLEASE, always make sure there is a bowl of the wet stuff available wherever your dog is.

DID YOU KNOW? Puppies are born blind, deaf and toothless! During its first week, a pup will sleep 90% and eat 10% of the time! Between 3-7 weeks, the first teeth will appear and their sense of smell starts to develop from around three weeks! It’s really hard being a puppy, but they are soooo cute!

These read up brill, I really thought I would be on to a winner with these & I did like the fact they are made in the UK.
They have an unusual shape they are like ringed donuts, they don’t have a very strong smell which might appeal to some. They don’t absorb water very well. They work out quite good value for money as you don’t need to feed huge amounts. The downside-
My dog became very uninterested very quickly :( I tried a few new ways of feeding my little fella but he knew every time. He just turns his nose up to them. I have done the vets suggestion of no food or treats for a day get him very hungry but the following day he was hungry but he still ate them very slooooow & still left some. He has a slight delicate tummy but these didn’t help to keep his stools firm, he had some not very nice smelling bottom burps which he never had before & some times his stools had a bit more of a stronger scent (my poor husband having to pick them up)
Having to try something else as my King Charles just does not find these to his liking & do not feel the nice write up of the ‘quality’ actually matches up to the product.

I have reared a litter on this and I have to say I am impressed. Puppies are thriving, good weight gain and solid motions. HOwever, I would like to see Amazon stock the large breed version in the future, as it contains higher levels of glucosaine than ‘puppy days’ and slightly lower protein and calcium levels.

Our Welsh Terrier puppy was plagued with an upset tummy for the first few weeks we had him. Having tried other diets this one settle his digestive system and has proved to be well balanced.

I decided to try Barking Heads as my spaniel pup didn’t seem to take to either Origin or Acana (even after reducing his food intake). He’s had absolutely no issues with Barking Heads, his fur is shiny and soft an he’s developed really well. Would highly recommend.

ive a gsd 4 mnths old he has been on barking heads from 2 mnths old i picked this food cause it has excellent ingredients , top class kibble but unfortunately my gsd has runny poo the whole time he been on it, great food if it agrees with ur dog. i only want the best for him to give him a good start in life. so im now going to try arden grange which seems good and a bonus ,, its cheaper than barking heads. in all honesty i would have loved to keep him on bh if it agreed with him
